Our Team
Kahli Saunders-
Creator & Founder
With a dance journey spanning back to just 8 years old, I've nurtured my choreography and teaching skills over 15 years. My formative dance years included performing for the Newcastle Knights Dance Squad, eisteddfods, state wide competitions and gracing local events, adding a touch of professionalism to my craft. After earning my Bachelor of Education (Honours) from the University of Newcastle in 2018, I wanted to fuse my passion for dance, teaching, and movement. My classes blend pilates, technique, and foundational dance moves, influenced by love for fast-paced commercial jazz.
My mission?
To ignite inspiration, motivation, and transformation through dance. Mental well-being stands as the cornerstone of our philosophy, highlighting the significance of every individual's narrative. Join me in celebrating the power of movement and the uniqueness each of us brings to the dance floor.
Maria Karmaniolos-
Choreographer & Teacher
While gaining my Certificate IV in Performing Arts at Brent Street Studios, I was able to gain experience performing on The Voice and Anthony Galea’s ‘Greatest Trick Ever’ for ABC. Since graduating and beginning my professional working career, my screen and stage experience has seen me work as a featured dancer for The Veronicas, Vanessa Amorosi, American Express, and Sunrise. I have also worked with well-known brands like KFC and Berocca. My choreographic endeavours have led me to choreograph the Beetlejuice JR pilot for iTheatrics and the Junior Theatre Festival. In recent years, I've worked closely with brands such as The Iconic, Footlocker, Benefit Cosmetics, Bonds, Cotton On, and ShowPo on sponsored posts and promotional material.
Teaching at "Dance For Fun" brings me immense joy as I witness the transformative power of dance firsthand. Creating a nurturing space where individuals can freely explore, rekindle, and rejuvenate their love for dance is my ultimate goal. It's incredibly rewarding to guide individuals through various dance styles, encouraging them to embrace challenges, relish the journey, and revel in the sheer delight of movement. Ultimately, fostering a positive environment where people can rediscover their passion of dance is what fuels my own passion for teaching.
